Place the first clip one saddle-width from the dead end of the rope.
Tighten nuts evenly to recommended torque.
Space additional clips at least six rope diameters apart.
Re-tighten nuts after load testing for maximum safety.
(Remember the rule: “Never saddle a dead horse” — the saddle always goes on the live end.)
